City Jobs Take a Little Longer
We take work inside the City of Buffalo. City projects need a city permit and inspection, which adds time compared with the surrounding towns, and when new concrete will butt up against a neighbor’s house the city requires a notarized letter from that neighbor and a copy of your survey. We pull the permit and tell you what the city needs at the quote, so there are no surprises on timing.
Frequently Asked Questions
Do you take jobs inside the City of Buffalo?
Yes, with a longer lead time. Work inside the City of Buffalo needs a city permit and a city inspection, and getting through that process takes longer than it does in the surrounding towns. When new concrete will butt up against a neighbor's house, the city also requires a notarized letter from the neighbor giving permission, along with a copy of your survey. We pull the permit and tell you exactly what the city needs up front, so plan on a longer timeline for a city job than for one in Amherst, Orchard Park or the other suburbs.
Who pulls the permit?
We do. We also call the Underground Authority to get gas, water and utilities marked before anybody digs, so that is not something you need to chase down.

View service →Concrete Cracks in Buffalo. We Control Where.
Any contractor who promises you crack-free concrete in Western New York is selling you something. Freeze-thaw and ground movement guarantee it eventually. Two identical driveways poured the same day by the same crew: one is perfect for ten years, one cracks next spring.
So we engineer for it instead. We pour driveways at 5,000 PSI when most crews use 3,500 to 4,000. We use steel mesh and fiber mesh together, so when a crack forms it cannot widen. And we place enough relief joints that cracking happens down in the joints, where you will never notice it. The ready-mix supplier we buy from stands behind the material itself.
